Virender Sehwag has reclaimed his spot at the helm of the Delhi Daredevils to captain the side through the 2011 Indian Premier League. Sehwag, who led the franchise in the 2008 and 2009 editions of the Twenty20 tournament, took a back seat to Gautam Gambhir's leadership last year but now resumes his role as skipper after Gambhir was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders. Aside from Gambhir, Delhi have lost several big guns such as Sri Lanka batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan, Proteas star AB de Villiers, Australian seamer Dirk Nannes and Black Caps captain Daniel Vettori, who have all been recruited by the Bangalore Royal Challengers. "For me there cannot be any other team in the IPL, other than Delhi Daredevils," Sehwag enthused to PTI. The hard-hitting opening batsman carried the Daredevils to two IPL semi-finals in 2008 and 2009 and will be looking to go one better this year. "As someone who grew up playing cricket in Delhi, I am delighted to be part of the Daredevils and lead the team," he concluded.
