Yorkshire right-hander Anthony McGrath could be fit for the start of the LV= County Championship season after undergoing knee surgery.
The 35-year-old had arthroscopic surgery to rectify a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee last week.
And Yorkshire's former skipper is expected to be available for their opening game of the new season against Worcestershire at New Road on April 8.
Yorkshire said in a statement: "The procedure was a complete success and he has already begun his rehabilitation programme.
"The club is hopeful that he will make a full recovery in time for the start of the 2011 season."
