An X-ray has cleared Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal of any serious damage to his left hand.
Tamim, 21, visited hospital for a precautionary scan after injuring himself in the act of taking a diving catch to dismiss Niall O'Brien during the Tigers' 27-run victory over Ireland at the World Cup on Friday.
"We sent him for a precautionary X-ray today (Saturday) but it revealed no fracture," said team manager Tanjeeb Ahsan Saad.
"He has just damaged some soft tissues in his left hand and should be okay within two or three days."
Tamim had surgery on the same hand last September and missed the following month's series against New Zealand.
Bangladesh's next World Cup fixture is against West Indies in Dhaka on March 4.
