Doherty returns to squad, Siddle on standby as injuries hit Aussies
Australian spinner Nathan Hauritz is a huge doubt for the rest of the one-day series with England and the upcoming World Cup after dislocating his shoulder in Hobart.
Australia's one-day win in Tasmania came at a hefty price as the only spinner named in their World Cup squad now looks unlikely to be able to make the tournament, which starts next month.
The much-maligned Xavier Doherty has been called into the one-day squad for the next two games against England, after he was jettisoned following a poor showing during the Ashes, while seamer Peter Siddle has been put on standby.
The 29-year-old Doherty is not the only injury problem for Australia, with Mitchell Johnson also out of Sunday's third one-dayer with England and Shaun Tait doubtful after also picking up an injury in Hobart.
Team physio Alex Kountouris admits Hauritz is unlikely to feature in the rest of the series with England, and his World Cup hopes are also hanging in the balance.

"Nathan had scans this afternoon following his shoulder dislocation yesterday," said Kountouris. "These scans are used to assess the amount of structural damage caused by the dislocation and will help guide the treatment of this injury.
"They have demonstrated moderate disruption of the supportive structures at the shoulder. We will now seek a specialist opinion to determine the next course of action.
"The treatment options include both conservative and surgical management. It is likely he will be unavailable for the remainder of the Commonwealth Bank Series and his availability for the ICC Cricket World Cup will be determined in the coming weeks."
Tait hobbled off the field in Hobart with a thigh injury, but he has not yet been ruled out of Sunday's match in Sydney
"Shaun complained of some left upper thigh pain during last night's match," added Kountouris. "As a precaution he was advised to stop bowling and leave the field. He had scans this afternoon which have cleared him of any new and significant damage.

"He will be assessed over the next 12 hours to determine his management and availability for tomorrow's match and the remainder of this series."
Johnson is back in the squad following a throat infection, but he will definitely miss out on Sunday's game in Sydney meaning Siddle is on standby with so much uncertainty over Tait's availability.
"With the unavailability of Mitchell Johnson and some doubt over the fitness of Shaun Tait, the NSP has added Peter Siddle as a standby player for tomorrow's match at the SCG," said chief selector Andrew Hilditch.
After being soundly beaten in the Ashes, Australia have fought back in the one-dayers and lead the seven-match series 2-0 heading into the third match in Sydney on Sunday.
