Stuart Broad has received a boost ahead of the Cricket World Cup after a scan on his abdominal strain came back all clear.
The England all-rounder has not played since picking up the injury in the second Ashes Test against Australia in Adelaide.
The injury ruled Broad out the rest of the series, which England won 3-1, as well as the limited-overs leg of the tour - with the 24-year-old flying home early for treatment.
However a scan on Thursday has cleared Broad and improved his chances of playing in the World Cup next month.
Broad initially wrote on Twitter: "Big scan today, injury update this afternoon. Be good touch wood!"
He then updated his progress, saying: "Scan all positive thank you!"
England head off to the tournament in the sub-continent on February 14. Before then, they play a seven-match ODI series against Australia.
