West Indies spinner Shane Shillingford has been suspended from bowling by the International Cricket Council after his action was declared illegal.
Shillingford, who has taken 14 wickets in five Test appearances, was reported by all four umpires following the first Test with Sri Lanka at Galle in November.
The ICC have now released a statement saying that Shillingford's mean elbow extension was 17 degrees, which is above the 15 degrees level of tolerance permitted.
He must now undergo remedial work and testing before being allowed to bowl again at international level.
The Dominican can appeal with decision within 14 days.
