England Lions all-rounder Darren Stevens has agreed a contract extension with Kent until the end of the 2012 season.
Stevens, who arrived at the St Lawrence Ground from Leicestershire five years ago, is coming off one of his most productive campaigns.
The 34-year-old scored four centuries and took 27 wickets in Division One of the LV County Championship, although it was not enough to save Kent from relegation.
"I am very much looking forward to playing for the club over the next two seasons," he told the county's official website.
"I have enjoyed my time in Kent and wanted to show my commitment by signing this new extended deal. I remain fully committed to helping the club push forward; both on and off the field."
