Australia have dismissed fears opener Simon Katich could miss the Ashes opener in Brisbane.
Katich damaged his shoulder fielding for New South Wales in their Sheffield Shield clash with Tasmania on Wednesday.
Katich was subsequently missing from the top of the Blues order when they went out to bat on day one, although NSW expect him to come in at No.3.
Scans have cleared the left-hander of serious injury - and while Australia physio Alex Kountouris is monitoring his progress, he does not expect there to be any problems.
"He dived in the field and jarred up his shoulder," Kountouris explained. "It was quite painful, as they are.
"It's always a worry but it doesn't look to be a serious injury.
"If he wakes up tomorrow morning and can't lift his arm it would be a worry but I'm not expecting that to happen.
"I expect he will be okay."
