County champions Nottinghamshire have signed veteran Ben Phillips from Division One rivals Somerset on a two-year contract.
Phillips, 36, has been brought in to provide experienced seam bowling cover at Trent Bridge following Ryan Sidebottom's recent decision to return to Yorkshire.
Somerset finished runners-up to Nottinghamshire in last season's title race, with Phillips taking 29 wickets in 11 matches as well as 19 scalps in the Clydesdale Bank 40 competition, which also saw Marcus Trescothick's side finish second.
"Ben has a solid reputation in county cricket and he can play a big part for us next season," said Nottinghamshire director of cricket Mick Newell.
"It was very important that we recruited a bowler who can come into the side and bowl long spells witch accuracy and control and Ben is capable of doing that."
Nottinghamshire are Phillips' fourth county, having previously had stints with Kent and Northamptonshire as well as Somerset.
