Yuvraj Singh has been recalled by India for the Test series in Sri Lanka in July and August.
The middle-order batsman was left out for the recent Asia Cup following a run of indifferent form.
But the 28-year-old, who averages 35.95 in 33 Tests, returns as part of a 16-man party for the three Tests in Sri Lanka.
There are few surprises in the squad with batsman Suresh Raina the only uncapped player included.
Raina, however, has plenty of limited-overs experience having featured in 98 ODIs and 18 T20Is.
The selectors have picked three specialist spinners and as many seamers to ensure they have all bases covered for the expected batsmen-friendly wickets.
Amit Mishra, Pragyan Ojha and Harbhajan Singh provide the slow bowling options, while the pace attack will be spearheaded by Zaheer Khan alongside Ishant Sharma and Shanthakumaran Sreesanth.
The series opener takes place in Galle from July 18-22 and is followed by Tests at Colombo's SSC (Jul 26-30) and P.Sara Oval (Aug 3-7).
