Northamptonshire have bolstered their batting with the signing of hard-hitting New Zealand opener Lou Vincent for the Friends Provident t20 campaign.
The aggressive right-hander will play the next three matches for the Steelbacks on a pay-as-you play basis.
Vincent, 31, has played 23 Tests and 102 one-day internationals for the Black Caps, and has previous domestic Twenty20 experience following his time at Lancashire in 2008.
Northants head coach David Capel said, "I'm looking forward to including Lou in the team. He brings enormous expertise and experience to the squad and is a very exciting and productive T20 cricketer."
Northants chief executive Mark Tagg added: "We are delighted that Lou has agreed to join us for the next three FP t20 games. His addition to the squad will give the Steelbacks the edge over the next three important games."
Vincent is expected to make his debut when Northants take on Worcestershire Royals at the County Ground on Friday.
