India's ICC World Twenty20 plans have been hit by news explosive opener Virender Sehwag will miss the tournament.
Sehwag has been ruled out the competition, which takes place between April 30-May 16 in the Caribbean, after suffering a shoulder injury.
Sehwag had played for the Delhi Daredevils in their final IPL game on Sunday, but he has now been told he faces a month on the sidelines.
A statement from the BCCI read: "Sehwag has sustained a shoulder injury and been advised to rest for three to four weeks."
Sehwag's place in the squad will go to in-form Murali Vijay after the ICC gave clearance to the change.
The 26-year-old from Chennai has previously played in five Tests and one ODI for India.
