Former skipper named in T20 squad

Bangladesh have named former captain Mohammad Ashraful in their 15-man squad for the upcoming ICC World Twenty20 in the West Indies. Ashraful had fallen out of favour with selectors after failing to score a half-century in his last 13 international innings. He opted out of the recent one-day series against England in an attempt to regain his form, and has since done enough to earn a recall from the Bangladesh selectors. Left-arm medium-pacer Syed Rasel has also been named in the squad after he was dropped from the tour of New Zealand and entire England series. Left-arm spinner Mohammad Sohrawordi and batsman Jahirul Islam have retained their places in the Twenty20 squad. Bangladesh will play against defending champions Pakistan and Australia in Group A of the tournament. Bangladesh squad: Shakib Al Hasan (captain), Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Jahirul Islam, Mohammad Ashraful, Aftab Ahmed, Mahmudullah, Mushfiqur Rahim, Naeem Islam, Mashrafe Mortaza, Abdur Razzak, Shafiul Islam, Rubel Hossain, Syed Rasel, Mohammad Sohrawordi.
