Chapple: Veteran leader
Veteran seamer Glen Chapple will remain as club captain of Lancashire for next season.
The 35-year-old stalwart has played for 18 seasons at Old Trafford, with his last campaign being his first since he took over as skipper at the start of the year.
Chapple performed at a high level again last season as well as leading the side, taking 35 wickets in the County Championship despite missing five games with a foot injury.
Old Trafford officials have decided that Chapple deserves to retain the captaincy and he will lead the Red Rose county again next year.
"It's an honour to be asked to continue as captain of Lancashire for next season," said Chapple.
"Captaincy certainly comes with extra responsibilities but I believe I've shown it's a role I feel confident in performing."
