Pakistan fast bowler must wait until June 14 for hearing

Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar's appeal against his five-year ban will now be heard on June 14. Shoaib was handed the sanction, which applies to all cricket in Pakistan, after repeatedly violating the Pakistan Cricket Board's code of conduct. The 32-year-old appealed the decision and, after an initial tribunal hearing on June 8, it was decided to put proceedings back for six days. "The tribunal heard arguments from the lawyer of the Pakistan Cricket Board and lawyers of Akhtar, and the next hearing will be held on June 14," said the head of the three-man tribunal Justice Farrukh Aftab.
