Durham fast bowler Steve Harmison is set to team up with England's Test squad for the series in New Zealand after the birth of his fourth child
Harmison was due to fly out with Michael Vaughan and Matthew Hoggard on Friday but he was forced to delay his departure for Christchurch to be present for the birth of his son Charlie.
However, Harmison will now head out on Monday to begin preparations for the first Test in Hamilton, which starts on March 5.
Andrew Strauss will join the squad after playing club cricket in New Zealand, while Mony Panesar will arrive after his spell with the Lions in India.
England are due to play two two-day warm-up games against Otago in Dunedin ahead of the three-Test series.
