Ramdin - heavy workload
Uncapped wicketkeeper Patrick Browne has been called up to West Indies' tour of South Africa.
Browne, 25, is scheduled to arrive in Cape Town ahead of the second Test, which starts on January 2, after the team management decided they required a second gloveman to ease the workload on Denesh Ramdin.
"The call-up came as a total surprise but I'm delighted," said Browne.
"I have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time and I'm looking forward to it."
The Barbadian has played 44 first-class matches since his debut in 2001, averaging 22.23 with a highest score of 83.
