Bangladesh all-rounder Saqibul Hasan is doubtful for the Twenty20 World Cup due to a finger injury.
Saqibul damaged his right index finger during a practice session in Nairobi last week, as Bangladesh prepared for a four-team warm-up tournament.
Bangladesh media manager Rabeed Imam told Reuters from Nairobi that Saqibul will be monitored for the next couple of days to see the full extent of the problem.
"The finger is in under a protective cap at present. The team physio will monitor his position in three to four days," said Imam.
Saqibul, who bowls left-arm spin and is a middle order batsman, has featured in three Tests for Bangladesh and 34 ODI.
He was also short-listed for the ICC Emerging Player of the Year award after his recent performances, and he will find out if he has won on 10th September in Johannesburg.
Bangladesh have been pitted against hosts South Africa and West Indies in the group stage of the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup.
