Scotland squad for South Africa next month

Former England and Yorkshire all-rounder Gavin Hamilton has been named in Scotland's 15-man squad for next month's World Twenty20. The 32-year-old has barely featured for Scotland since the World Cup due to work commitments, but he has now confirmed his availability for the tournament in South Africa. But spinner Glenn Rogers and Durham batsman Kyle Coetzer are both unavailable for the Scots. Scotland have scheduled warm-up games against Bangladesh on September 8 and Zimbabwe on September 9. Their campaign gets under way against Pakistan on September 12, with India next up on the following day. Scotland captain Ryan Watson - himself brought up in South Africa, said: "I know that this bunch of cricketers will give everything they've got to make an impression. "We have nothing to lose, and we have to play with that certainty in order to spring a surprise or two." Scotland squad: Ryan Watson (captain), John Blain, Dougie Brown, Navdeep Poonia, Gordon Drummond, Gavin Hamilton, Majid Haq, Ross Lyons, Qasim Sheikh, Neil McCallum, Gregor Maiden, Dewald Nel, Colin Smith, Fraser Watts, Craig Wright.
