Fast bowler Boyd Rankin and batsman Sam Hain have signed long-term deals with Warwickshire.

Rankin, 30, has put pen to paper on a three-year contract, while the 19-year-old Hain has agreed a four-year deal.

Since joining the club in 2008, England and Ireland international Rankin has helped the Bears win the County Championship, as well as the CB40 and T20 Blast titles

The Northern Ireland-born bowler played one Test on the Ashes tour of Australia and has also featured in 44 one-day internationals and 17 T20 matches for the countries he has represented.

Hain made his first-class debut in May and has since played 12 matches with an average of 51.43, and has become the youngest Warwickshire player to make a century and double-century.

Contributions

"Both Boyd and Sam made important contributions to our success in 2014 and will be key for our push for more silverware in 2015 and beyond," said Warwickshire director of cricket Dougie Brown.

"Boyd's pace and bounce make him one of the most feared bowlers on the county circuit and, at his best, he is a match for any batsman in the world.
