Sri Lanka have called up batsman Kithuruwan Vithanage into the Test squad in England.

Vithange replaces the injured Prasanna Jayawardene.

Wicketkeeper Jayawardene hurt his finger during the drawn first Test at Lord's, but batted through the pain for an hour as the tourists salvaged a last-ditch draw on Monday.

Vithanage, who played against England in last month's one-off Twenty20 at The Oval, was not chosen for the one-day international or Test series.

But Sri Lanka Cricket has confirmed that the 23-year-old left-hander will be added to the squad for the final Test at Headingley, where it is likely either Dinesh Chandimal or Kaushal Silva will keep wicket.

Watch England take on Sri Lanka in the second Test live from Headingley on Sky Sports 2 from 10.30am, this Friday.
