India have recalled experienced pace bowler Zaheer Khan to their Test squad for next month's clashes in South Africa.
The only newcomer is batsman Ambati Rayudu, but there is no place for in-form opener Gautam Gambhir, who recently scored a century for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy.
The 35-year-old Zaheer, who was a key member of the 2011 World Cup-winning team, has earned a recall to bolster the bowling attack on the bouncy pitches of South Africa.
The left-arm bowler, who has taken 295 wickets in 88 Tests, last turned out for India during the home series against England last December.
Zaheer is included in a pack of five pace bowlers in the 17-member Test squad along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Mohammad Shami and Ishant Sharma.
Seam bowler Mohit Sharma will come in for Zaheer in the one-day internationals.
Being shown live on Sky Sports, India will play a three-ODI series in South Africa starting December 5, followed by two Tests.
