Glamorgan all-rounder Jim Allenby has agreed a four-year contract extension with the county.
The 30-year-old had been linked with a move away earlier in the summer, but has agreed terms on a deal that will keep him with the club until the end of the 2017 season.
Allenby said: "I am extremely happy to commit the next four years of my playing career to Glamorgan and look forward to working with the playing squad and coaching staff to bring success back to this club."
Australian native Allenby is Glamorgan's leading run-scorer this season in the both the County Championship and Friends Life t20, and had attracted the interest of a host of other counties.
Glamorgan chief executive Alan Hamer added: "We are delighted to have retained Jim's services for the next four years. He is a key member of our playing squad.
"Today's announcement re-affirms the club's determination to become a successful first-class county. We remain committed to retaining our best players and to challenge strongly in all forms of the game."
