Fast bowler's new deal at The Oval runs until 2015

England seamer Stuart Meaker has signed a new three-year contract with Surrey. Meaker's new deal ties him to the county until 2015 and comes at the end of a season in which he took more than 40 County Championship wickets for the second successive year. The 23-year-old, rated one of the quickest bowlers in the country, has played two ODIs for England and has represented the second-string Lions. Meaker said: "I'm absolutely over the moon and really glad to be sticking around at such a great club. "I feel I've got a lot to offer, both to the club and the game of cricket, over the next three years and I'm really glad it's going to be at Surrey - my home, my family and a really prestigious club." Surrey team director Chris Adams said: "Stuart is one of the most exciting young fast bowlers in English cricket and I am delighted he has agreed a new contract with Surrey for the next three years. "As well as being one of the fastest bowling talents in the country, Stuart is also a superb individual within the squad, his work ethic and attitude is second to none. "I look forward to seeing him develop as he continues to grow in confidence both as a cricketer and as a person."
