Essex batsman in squad to face Australia A at Old Trafford
Ravi Bopara will return to cricket with the England Lions this week after electing to miss the Headingley Test against South Africa.
The Essex batsman had regained the number six spot in England's line-up for the first Test with the Proteas at the expense of Jonathan Bairstow, but pulled out of the second encounter for unspecified personal reasons.
Nottinghamshire's James Taylor was called up in Bopara's absence and made 34 on debut in England's first innings.
The second-string England Lions take on Australia A side at Old Trafford over four days, starting on Tuesday.
