England Lions have named a revised 15-man squad for the one-day series against Sri Lanka A.
Jade Dernbach, Craig Kieswetter, Samit Patel and Chris Woakes - who have all played ODI cricket for England - are included for the tour, which features five matches from January 27 to February 6.
The Lions have retained 11 of the players on duty during the recent 3-2 defeat in Bangladesh.
But Simon Kerrigan, Tom Maynard, Tymal Mills, Boyd Rankin and Jason Roy will not make the Sri Lanka trip and instead return to their counties.
"The Sri Lanka tour will provide a further opportunity for us to assess players in the 50-over format before we finalise selection for the senior team's one-day series against Pakistan in UAE next month," said ECB national selector Geoff Miller.
"Jade Dernbach, Craig Kieswetter, Samit Patel and Chris Woakes will be keen to use this tour to press their claims for a place in our one-day squad as will the other Lions players who recently completed the tour of Bangladesh."
England Lions squad: James Taylor (Nottinghamshire, captain), Jonny Bairstow (Yorkshire), Scott Borthwick (Durham), Danny Briggs (Hampshire), Jack Brooks (Northamptonshire), Nathan Buck (Leicestershire), Jos Buttler (Somerset), Jade Dernbach (Surrey), Alex Hales (Nottinghamshire), Craig Kieswetter (Somerset), Stuart Meaker (Surrey), Samit Patel (Nottinghamshire), Joe Root (Yorkshire), James Vince (Hampshire), Chris Woakes (Warwickshire)
