Chris Nash has signed a new contract with Sussex that will keep him with the county until the end of the 2014 season.
The top-order batsman scored nearly 2,000 runs across all formats of the domestic game this summer - and his 649 runs in the Clydesdale Bank 40 earned him the PCA Player of the Year honours for that tournament.
Nash's off-spin also yielded 27 wickets and his impressive form this season earned him a call-up to the England Lions squad where he faced Sri Lanka in three one-day matches.
"With the players we have in our squad, our work ethic and the brilliant support we receive from everyone involved with Sussex, we are all excited about what we can achieve over the next few years," said Nash.
"From a personal point of view I need to continue to score heavily in all forms to help Sussex win trophies and to push my claims for further honours.
"This is alongside the hard work I am putting in on my bowling to add further strength to my game."
