Spinner back for second loan spell at Lord's

Middlesex have re-signed spinner Ollie Rayner on loan for the remainder of the season. Rayner, 25, returns to the LV County Championship Division Two promotion hopefuls having spent a six-week loan spell at Lord's earlier this year. "Ollie fitted into the Middlesex dressing room extremely well at the start of the season and the positive way he plays his cricket had a strong influence on the team," said Middlesex managing director of cricket Angus Fraser. "We are delighted to have him back and look forward to him carrying on from where he left off in May." Rayner is available for the Clydesdale Bank 40 match against Derbyshire on August 21, but under the terms of his loan, will not be able to play against Sussex at Lord's in the same competition on August 29.
