All-rounder commits future to Worcestershire through 2013 season

All-rounder Gareth Andrew has signed a two-year contract extension with Worcestershire. Andrew, 27, joined the Pears from Somerset in 2008 and has established himself as key performer, particularly in the limited-overs formats. He is now committed to New Road until the end of the 2013 campaign. "I am delighted to extend my contract with the club for another two years," he said. "There's a great atmosphere in the dressing room and the team are progressing well for the future. Hopefully we can continue our development to maintain Division One status next year." Worcestershire director of cricket Steve Rhodes hailed Andrew's new deal as proof of the county's ambition. "To hold on to a player of Gareth's abilities is a huge boost to the club and our supporters," said Rhodes. "His career is on an upward curve with the best years ahead of him."
