Essex have handed new contracts to Ryan ten Doeschate and Maurice Chambers ahead of the new season.
Dutch international ten Doeschate, who is heading to India to play for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL and will miss the start of the summer, has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal, while fast bowler Chambers, 23, has extended his terms by one season.
"There is no other place I want to play my cricket. The signing of my new contract was simply a formality," ten Doeschate, 30, told www.essexcricket.org.uk.
"I am delighted to have signed an extension to my current contract and am really looking forward to many more successful times on the field for Essex.
"Our goal is to win silverware, like we have done in the past, and I want to be part of this."
Chambers added: "It's really good that Essex have decided to offer me a further year to my current contract. It is great to know that the club has shown confidence in my ability.
"I personally believe that I can go on to play for England in the future and hopefully I can keep fit this season to play a crucial role for the team."
