Sri Lanka will be without influential all-rounder Angelo Mathews for Saturday's World Cup final against India in Mumbai.
Mathews, who has played in every game of the campaign so far, suffered a muscle strain while fielding during Tuesday's semi-final victory against New Zealand.
The 23-year-old came out to bat with a runner against the Black Caps and made 14 not out as Sri Lanka secured a five-wicket victory but he is not fit enough to play a full part in the final.
The World Cup Event Technical Committee has since approved off-spinner Suraj Randiv as a replacement player in Sri Lanka's 15-man squad, although he is not a certainty to feature in Mumbai.
Randiv, 26, has played in 21 ODIs, claiming 22 wickets at an average of 33.50, however the selectors may opt to go with Nuwan Kulasekera as a like-for-like replacement.
