Mortaza back in the ranks for Zimbabwe series

Shakib Al Hasan has retained the captaincy of Bangladesh's one-day team for the home series against Zimbabwe in January. The all-rounder has been preferred as skipper to Mashrafe Mortaza, who is also included in a 15-man squad. Shakib led Bangladesh to a 4-0 win over New Zealand in October, having taken over as captain when Mortaza twisted his ankle in the opening game and missed the rest of the series. Opening batsman Tamim Iqbal returns after recovering from a wrist injury, while former captain Mohammad Ashraful is back in favour. "Tamim has fully recovered from wrist injury. Ashraful finds a place after his stellar performance in national cricket," said Bangladesh Cricket Board spokesman Rabeed Imam. The five-match series starts at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on December 1.
