Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Asif has withdrawn his appeal against his provisional suspension by the International Cricket Council over spot-fixing allegations.
Asif was provisionally suspended by the game's governing body along with Test captain Salman Butt and fellow seamer Mohammad Amir after the ICC initiated an investigation into newspaper allegations that the trio had acted in association with illegal bookmakers during last summer's tour of England.
All three took up the option of appealing against their suspensions and their cases were due to be heard in Doha on October 30-31.
Butt and Amir have not withdrawn their appeals and their hearings will continue as planned.
