All-rounder set to teach geography and religious studies
All-rounder Robin Martin-Jenkins is set to quit Sussex to begin a new career in teaching.
The 34-year-old's last game for the county is likely to be against Worcestershire at Hove on July 19 in a Clydesdale Bank 40 match, with Martin-Jenkins having informed officials he would be unavailable after that date.
Martin-Jenkins, who scored 7,174 runs and took 378 wickets in first-class matches, will teach geography and religious studies at Hurstpierpoint College.
He said: "I could have carried on, but I didn't want to get to the stage where I was holding on too long and not performing.
"I'm still enjoying it and I'm going out in a period when I'm still playing well."
