Northamptonshire have bolstered their line-up for the Friends Provident t20 by signing South African pace bowler Juan Theron.
The 24-year-old, who was an unused member of the South Africa squad at the ICC World Twenty20, will be available for the opening five games of the campaign for Northants.
Head coach David Capel said: "I am absolutely delighted to announce the signing of a world-class talent such as Rusty, this will give us a great boost at the start of the Friends Provident t20.
"Rusty will be an excellent addition for our FP t20 campaign and will be a vital part of our death bowling attack."
Theron has yet to represent the Proteas at a senior level, however he does hold a central contract. His arrival, though, is subject to him receiving a visa.
