South Africa international Hashim Amla has left the door open for a possible return to Nottinghamshire.
The 27-year-old has impressed during a short-term stint at the Outlaws, averaging 75.4 in the LV= County Championship Division One.
And although Amla will leave the Trent Bridge after their clash with Durham to join the Proteas squad for the tour to the West Indies, he has admitted he would like to return.
"I have had a very pleasant time here both cricket-wise and personally and I would love to come back and play for Nottinghamshire again in the future," Amla said.
"The players have been warm and welcoming and the contributions I've made with the bat have helped me to fit into the team and the dressing room.
"I am very grateful for the opportunity that I have had because I wanted to go to the West Indies with some first-class cricket under my belt and I feel well prepared for the tour."
