Fast bowler Umar Gul and all-rounder Yasir Arafat must prove their fitness ahead of Pakistan's ICC World Twenty20 title defence.
Gul, a key contributor to his country's triumph in England last year, hurt his shoulder during a pre-tournament training camp, while Arafat is battling to overcome a calf problem prior to the squad's departure for the Caribbean on April 24.
"We had MRI scans on both Gul and Arafat and a radiologist also examined them," team manager Yawar Saeed told AFP.
"Gul bowled three overs in the nets with a short run-up and felt no pain, so we are hopeful and will take fitness test on Saturday (April 17).
"We have already said no half-fit players will go for an important event like the World Twenty20, so we will examine both players extensively before taking a final decision."
The World Twenty20 takes place in West Indies from April 30-May 16. Pakistan are drawn in Group A alongside Australia and Bangladesh.
