Watson and Haddin to sit out two ODIs

Australia have decided to rest Shane Watson and Brad Haddin from the third and fourth games of Commonwealth Bank Series against the West Indies. With the tour to New Zealand, the ICC World Twenty20 and the Test series against Pakistan in England coming up, Cricket Australia are looking to manage the workloads of both players. That means Adam Voges and Tim Paine will come into the squad for the next two ODIs against the Windies - with Australia already 2-0 up in the best-of-five series. "After a busy international summer, and with an upcoming tour of New Zealand in mind, the NSP (National Selection Panel) has taken the opportunity to manage the workloads of Brad Haddin and Shane Watson for the next two matches of the Commonwealth Bank Series," said national selection panel chairman Andrew Hilditch. "Paine thoroughly deserves another chance behind the stumps for Australia in ODI cricket after playing so well in England, the ICC Champions Trophy and India late last year. "Voges was unlucky to miss selection for the opening two matches of the Commonwealth Bank Series against the West Indies but now has a chance to press for selection."
