India batsman Yuvraj Singh is doubtful for the first Test against South Africa after suffering a torn ligament in his left wrist.
Yuvraj did not bat in the first innings of the second Test with Bangladesh in Dhaka and is expected to take no further part in the match.
South Africa are scheduled to visit India at the start of next month, the series opener in Nagpur starting on February 6.
India have a further injury concern over Rahul Dravid, who scored 111 before being felled by a Shahadat Hossain bouncer in Dhaka on Monday.
He spent the night in hospital under observation but was released on Tuesday morning and will consult a specialist to determine the long-term prognosis for his facial fracture.
