Beer was a regular in the Sharks' limited-overs team that won the Twenty20 Cup and Pro40 Division One title last season, although he did not feature at all in the County Championship.

The 21-year-old is looking forward to bowling alongside left-arm spinner Monty Panesar in 2010 after the England international moved to Hove from Northamptonshire in November.

"I am very excited about the next three years at the club and continuing the club's recent success," Beer told Sussex's official website.
