Former West Indies off-spinner Omari Banks has left Somerset after the county decided not to offer him a new contract.
Banks, 27, spent the last two seasons at Taunton as a Kolpak player but failed to hold down a regular first-team place.
"I have informed Omari that, regrettably, his contract hasn't been renewed," Somerset director of cricket Brian Rose told the Bristol Evening Post.
"Really he has been outstanding in his personal application to his job over the two years. We haven't been able to fault his dedication.
"But he hasn't had the performances to justify another contract."
Meanwhile, leg-spinner Michael Munday has signed a new one-year deal with the Cidermen.
Munday, 25, made just one appearance in the LV County Championship last season but the Oxford University graduate will be given another chance in 2010.
Rose revealed that further talks are planned with all-rounder Wes Durston, whose contract has also run out.
