Black Caps turn to O'Brien

Seamer provides extra cover for injury-hit Kiwis

O'Brien: Pace option

Champions Trophy semi-finalists New Zealand have called up Iain O'Brien to their squad in place of injured seamer Daryl Tuffey.

Although O'Brien is yet to be ratified by the International Cricket Council, authorisation will be a formality after fast bowler Tuffey was ruled out of the tournament with a broken hand.

Tuffey became the third Black Caps player struck down by injury since arrival in South Africa following the departures of Jacob Oram and Jesse Ryder.

Despite their off-field problems, New Zealand booked their place in Saturday's second semi-final with a four-wicket victory over England on Tuesday night.
