Left-arm spinner out for at least three weeks

Lancashire spinner Gary Keedy faces a race to be fit for the start of the county season after fracturing his hand. The slow left-armer, 33, suffered the injury to his right hand while fielding during Lancashire's pre-season friendly against Sussex in Sharjah on Thursday. "He has got a light cast on his hand, which we can take off at any point," director of cricket Mike Watkinson told the county's official website. "He is still able to bowl in the nets at the lads, but it would be a big risk for him to play in any of the matches." Lancashire's opening fixture of the 2009 domestic season is at Old Trafford against Glamorgan in the FP Trophy on April 19.
