West Indies turn to Ramdin as stand-in skipper

Wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdin will captain West Indies in the one-off Twenty20 match against England after regular skipper Chris Gayle was ruled out. Gayle picked up a hamstring problem during the drawn fifth Test between the two sides and will not play in Trinidad on March 15. West Indies are boosted by the return from ankle surgery of all-rounder Dwayne Bravo after six months out. Bravo has been named in a 13-man Twenty20 squad that also includes Andre Fletcher, Kieron Pollard and Darren Sammy from outside the players that won the Test series 1-0. Daren Powell, Ryan Hinds and Brendan Nash are the members of the Test squad to miss out. The solitary Twenty20 fixture is followed by a five-match one-day international series. The selectors plan to name a different squad for the 50-over matches. West Indies Twenty20 squad: D Ramdin (capt), L Baker, S Benn, D Bravo, S Chanderpaul, F Edwards, A Fletcher, K Pollard, D Sammy, R Sarwan, L Simmons, D Smith, J Taylor
