Chaminda Vaas has been recalled to the Sri Lanka Test team to face Bangladesh, but was left out of the one-day squad.
Sri Lanka play two Tests against Bangladesh, starting on December 26, followed by a three-team one-day tournament also involving Zimbabwe.
Left-handed paceman Vaas has been brought back into the Test reckoning for the tour, but has again been overlooked for the one-day side.
The 34-year-old was dropped after recent games in Zimbabwe, and he again not worked his way back into the limited overs side.
Veteran batsman Sanath Jayasuriya is back in the one-day side after being rested for the Zimbabwe series, which Sri Lanka won with a 5-0 whitewash.
The 39-year-old will replace fellow left-hander Mahela Udawatte, after he failed to make the expected impact in Zimbabwe.
All-rounder Angelo Mathews and batsman Thilina Kandamby have been retained for the limited overs games after making their debuts in Zimbabwe.
Sri Lanka arrive in Dhaka for a three-day practice match on December 21 before the first Test on Boxing Day.
The tri-nation one-day series then follows from January 10 with each team playing each other once before a January 16 final.
