Harris and Wigley return to parent counties

AJ Harris and David Wigley have ended their loan spells with Gloucestershire. Harris is heading back to Nottinghamshire after picking up a side strain, while fellow seam bowler Wigley has been recalled by Northamptonshire ahead of their County Championship fixture at Worcestershire, which starts on Thursday. "It is really disappointing to lose both these players. We found them because we felt that our bowling needed bolstering up," said Gloucestershire chief executive Tom Richardson. "It is clearly not the result we were seeking and on this occasion we failed. "However, the principle of signing players on loan remains a good one and we will continue to look again to find suitable reinforcements for part, or the whole, of the remaining season." Gloucestershire captain Jon Lewis added: "Whilst it is disappointing to lose these bowlers it does again give an opportunity to those players in our own squad to stand up and be counted."
