New Zealand paceman Mark Gillespie is out of the second Test against Bangladesh due to a shoulder injury.
Gillespie, who also missed the first Test, suffered a recurrence of the problem while playing in the State Shield for Wellington.
His absence opens the way for fellow Wellington fast bowler Iain O'Brien to retain his place in the starting XI.
Seamer Michael Mason and off-spinner Jeetan Patel are the other options in New Zealand's squad should they decide to change the team that won by nine wickets in Dunedin.
Skipper Daniel Vettori is looking forward to the opportunity to push for a series whitewash.
Vettori, who succeeded Stephen Fleming as captain in September, admits he is still relying learning the ropes and is grateful to the advice he receives from Fleming, who is now back in the ranks after spending a decade in charge.
"We're just sort of working through that relationship at the moment and it seems to be going well," said Vettori.
"With his (Fleming) experience, he knows most situations like the back of his hand, so it's always nice to call on what he's got to offer."
The second Test starts at the Basin Reserve on Saturday.
