Ireland have named a 22-man winter training squad led by World Cup captain Trent Johnston.
Opening batsman Jeremy Bray returns after ruling himself out of the second half of the 2007 season.
But John Mooney, Dom Joyce, Kenny Carroll, Jason Molins and Dave Langford-Smith have all been left out.
Seam bowler Langford-Smith, who was a major factor in Ireland's progress to the Super Eight stage of the World Cup earlier in the year, opted out of contention.
Ireland's five English-based professionals - Eoin Morgan, Niall O'Brien, William Porterfield, Boyd Rankin and Gary Wilson are all included.
Coach Phil Simmons will focus primarily on the winter squad when he comes to pick his pre-season tour party to the UAE and Bangladesh.
