Kallis returns, Duminy only uncapped player in 14-man squad

Morne Morkel has been rewarded for his recent form with selection in South Africa's Test squad for the tour of Pakistan. The 22-year-old fast bowler has produced a series of impressive displays during the World Twenty20 and is included in a 14-man party to play two Tests in Pakistan. Morkel, who made his Test debut against India last December, is one of five fast bowlers named along with Makhaya Ntini, Shaun Pollock, Dale Steyn and Andre Nel. Batsman Jean-Paul Duminy is the only uncapped player in the squad, while Jacques Kallis returns after being omitted for the World Twenty20. That snub prompted Kallis to resign the vice captaincy and consider his future, although it appears - in the short-term at least - he will continue to play international cricket. South Africa are scheduled to play a three-day warm-up fixture in Karachi starting on September 27, before Tests in Karachi (Oct 1-5) and Lahore (Oct 8-12). South Africa: Graeme Smith (captain), Hashim Amla, Mark Boucher, AB de Villiers, Jean-Paul Duminy, Herschelle Gibbs, Paul Harris, Jacques Kallis, Morne Morkel, Andre Nel, Makhaya Ntini, Shaun Pollock, Ashwell Prince, Dale Steyn
