  •

    Over 20 - SA 88/1 - Amla 40 (65) de Kock 46 (48)

Afridi into the attack but a quiet over at the office. He did almost have Amla playing on, but he guarded his stumps well as the ball rolled around. Afridi 1-0-2-0.

  •

    Over 17 - SA 72/1 - Amla 33 (55) de Kock 38 (40)

    Over 15 - SA 56/1 - Amla 29 (48) de Kock 25 (35)

De Kock gets the foot back just in time as he is beaten by one outside off. Hafeez 3-0-14-0.

  •

    Over 14 - SA 51/1 - Amla 27 (46) de Kock 22 (31)

A flowing off drive from Amla as he is prepared to play some shots to the new bowler, but the next ball gets up off a good length and almost takes the outside edge. The 50 comes up with a leg bye as Bilawal appeals for LBW, and to add insult to injury he is involved in a collision with Amla as he completes the run. Bilawal 1-0-5-0. Time for DRINKS.

  •

    Over 13 - SA 45/1 - Amla 23 (41) de Kock 21 (30)

Hafeez has an impassioned shout for LBW as Amla looks to work him to leg. He begs his captain to ask for the REVIEW, but even though it was hitting off stump, the impact was outside the line and Amla will continue, celebrating his good fortune with a cracking cover drive. Hafeez 2-0-9-0.

  •

    Over 9 - SA 26/1 - Amla 12 (27) de Kock 13 (20)

Ajmal comes on to complete the Power Play. De Kock wants to have a go at him from the start, and will need some fatherly advice from Amla. Ajmal 1-0-3-0.

  •

    Over 8 - SA 23/1 - Amla 11 (26) de Kock 11 (15)

Both batsmen work singles to leg side. They are quick between the wickets, but a better throw might have had de Kock in trouble off the last ball. Anwar 4-1-15-0.

  •

    Over 7 - SA 19/1 - Amla 9 (23) de Kock 9 (12)

De Kock's confidence almost leads to disaster as he misses a pull which hits him on the body. The bowler is right there to offer him some advice, perhaps on the pain of broken ribs. A lot of intimidation out there as the bowler follows through all the way to the batting crease, and then a gently throw from the outfield hits de Kock on the back. He responds with a flowing off drive as Junaid gives him another wide half volley. Junaid 4-0-8-1.

  •

Amla gets some width outside off and gratefully cracks one through the covers for the first boundary of the innings. Anwar 2-1-5-0.

  •

    Over 3 - SA 3/0 - Amla 2 (15) Smith 1 (3)

Smith gets off the mark with a nudge to leg. Amla survives an LBW appeal, but that clearly pitched outside leg stump. Junaid 2-0-3-0.

  •

    Over 2 - SA 1/0 - Amla 1 (11) Smith 0 (1)

A maiden for Anwar Ali as Amla is unable to exercise his normal flawless timing, looking very uncomfortable indeed. Anwar 1-1-0-0.

  •

    Over 1 - SA 1/0 - Amla 1 (5) Smith 0 (1)

A quiet start as SA set off in pursuit of a big target, Amla just tapping one out to the covers. Junaid 1-0-1-0.

    End of innings

Pakistan have posted a formidable score of 262 in what has become a 45 over match after a lengthy rain delay this morning. Ahmed Shehzad compiled a classy 102, with solid support from Sohaib Maqsood and Umar Akmal, who each chipped in with 42. Dale Steyn was in a class of his own, taking a career best 6-39. Tahir was tidy with 1-33 and McLaren took a wicket but was punished. In a bizarre final over, Steyn two two wickets while Anwar Ali was adjudged to be obstructing the field as he line in the line of the throw from the keeper. SA will need to score at close to 6 to the over when play resumes shortly.

  •

    Over 45 - Pak 262 - Junaid 1 (1)

WICKET! Anwar Ali obstructing the field 7 (4). Swing and a miss from Anwar and he charges through for the bye. The throw from the keeper hits him on the shoulder and Steyn appeal for the obstruction as he was running down the middle of the pitch. WICKET! Umar Akmal c de Kock b Steyn 42 (30). There seemed to be an edge there but it was reviewed. He thought he had hit the ground, but the decision remains out. WICKET! Saeed Ajmal c Kallis b Steyn 0 (1). A thick edge and Kallis runs in from third man to take a good catch. Steyn 9-0-39-6

  •

    Over 44 - Pak 256/7 - Akmal 37 (27) Anwar 7 (3)

Umar Akmal makes some room and smashes Kallis over extra cover and into the stand. A more subtle shot brings up the 250. Anwar hoicks one down to fine leg and has to complete the second in one shoe. Kallis drops one short, and a top edge over the keeper completes the over. Kallis 8-0-49-0.

  •

    Over 43 - Pak 241/7 - Akmal 29 (24)

  •

    Over 42 - Pak 229/6 - Akmal 29 (24) Bilawal 9 (8)

McLaren produces some skillful yorkers, but the over starts and ends with cover drives as he completes a spell which he would rather forget. McLaren 9-0-71-1.

  •

    Over 41 - Pak 218/6 - Akmal 24 (21) Bilawal 3 (5)

Akmal latches onto a full delivery and drives it back over Steyn's head. WICKET! Shahid Afridi c de Villiers b Steyn 11 (13). •

    Over 36 - Pak 182/5 - Akmal 3 (7) Afridi 0 (2)

Steyn is back for that Power Play, and reluctantly gives up a single and a leg bye as Pakistan rebuild their innings. Steyn hit the pads of Afridi on the last ball and wanted the review, but the skipper does not feel it is justified. The replay shows it would not have been a bad call, but 'umpire's call' would have prevailed.. Steyn 5-0-11-2.

  •

    Over 35 - Pak 180/5 - Akmal 2 (3)

WICKET! Ahmed Shehzad run out (Imran Tahir/de Kock) 102 (112). Shehzad set off for the run, but was sent back. Tahir swooped on it and his throw was good, but still needed some smart glovework from the keeper to complete the dismissal. That is just what Pakistan did not want, with two new batsmen to face the Power Play which will now be enforced. Tsotsobe's work with the ball is done: 9-0-47-0.
